Retail Traineeship – Showroom Sales Assistant

This is a full-time role where you’ll gain hands-on experience, learn valuable workplace skills, and complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Retail while earning a wage.

About the Role

As a Retail Showroom Trainee, you'll be the welcoming face of the business, assisting customers and learning all aspects of showroom sales and customer service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Greeting and assisting customers in the showroom
• Learning to demonstrate products and equipment with confidence
• Processing customer enquiries and sales orders
• Maintaining attractive showroom displays and merchandising
• Providing exceptional customer service at every interaction
• Using business systems to manage customer records and orders
• Supporting the team with general showroom duties

Full training will be provided, giving you the skills and confidence to succeed.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a positive attitude and enjoys helping people
• Is confident communicating face-to-face with customers
• Is reliable, punctual and professionally presented
• Is eager to learn and develop new skills
• Is comfortable using computers and learning new systems
• Thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment

Previous retail, hospitality or customer service experience is an advantage but not essential—we're looking for the right attitude.

Traineeship Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this traineeship, applicants must:

• Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold full working rights
• Be willing to complete relevant pre-employment checks, including Police Check and NDIS screening if required
• Not currently hold a qualification higher than Certificate III in Retail (eligibility exceptions may apply)
