Now, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join the hotel team

Key Areas of Duties & Responsibility

• Maintaining general ledger and manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions

• Prepare and process accounts payable and perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations

• Monitor and reconcile hotel revenue, identifying any discrepancies and variances

• Assisting with month end closing, maintenance of accounting files and assisting with the preparation / organization of various financial forms, reports and financial analysis

• Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial accounts

• Management and improvement of accounting consolidation system

• Assistance with preparation of financial statements and interim reports

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and relevant legislation

• Involvement in budgeting and forecasting process

• Balance sheet and cash flow forecast modelling

• Analyze financial information and summaries of finanical status

• Working closely with hotel management and operational departments on financial matters

• Assist with audits and other financial requirements as required

• Other ad hoc duties as assigned by General Manager
  

Skills/Experience & Qualification

• Qualified or working towards a relevant accounting qualification

• Experienced in accounting, preferably within hospitality, hotels or similar industry

• Highly organised with excellent attention to details

• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems

• Able to meet deadlines and manage priorities

• Professional, reliable, proactive, analytical and willing to take ownership of responsibilities
