The Addison - Physiotherapy and Sports Injury
About the role
The Addison – Physiotherapy & Sports Injury | Marrickville, Sydney
We're looking for a Physiotherapist with formal training in Pelvic Floor and Women's Health Physiotherapy to join our growing multidisciplinary team at The Addison – Physiotherapy & Sports Injury in Marrickville.
Ideally, we're looking for someone who would enjoy treating a combination of general musculoskeletal physiotherapy and Women's/Pelvic Health presentations, while helping us develop and grow our dedicated Women's Health service.
However, we're also very open to speaking with experienced Pelvic Health Physiotherapists who are looking for a predominantly or exclusively Women's/Pelvic Health role.
About the Role
Depending on your interests and experience, your caseload could include:
General musculoskeletal and sporting injuries
Pregnancy-related musculoskeletal presentations
Antenatal and postnatal rehabilitation
Pelvic floor dysfunction
Urinary incontinence and bladder-related concerns
Pelvic pain
Abdominal wall and core rehabilitation
Return to exercise, gym, running and sport postpartum
Strength and conditioning and exercise-based rehabilitation
Our preference is for someone who enjoys combining strong MSK clinical skills with pelvic health expertise, but we're flexible for the right clinician.
What We're Looking For
Pelvic floor training is essential for this position.
We'd like to see:
Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
Completed recognised training in Pelvic Floor/Women's Health Physiotherapy
Training and competency in pelvic floor assessment and treatment
Confidence managing antenatal and postnatal presentations
A strong evidence-based and patient-centred approach
Excellent communication and patient management skills
An interest in helping develop and grow our Women's Health service
A collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary clinic
Experience treating a general MSK caseload is highly regarded but not essential.
Further postgraduate qualifications in Women's/Pelvic Health, experience with postpartum return to running and sport, and established referral relationships within the Women's Health space would also be highly regarded.
About The Addison
The Addison – Physiotherapy & Sports Injury is a modern, growing multidisciplinary clinic located opposite Enmore Park in Marrickville.
Our clinic brings together a range of health and performance services, including:
Physiotherapy
Sports Medicine
Remedial Massage
Dietetics & Nutrition
Clinical Pilates
Strength & Rehabilitation
Sports Injury Management
Dynamometry & Objective Strength Testing
Our facility includes private consultation rooms, a large open rehabilitation and strength gym, reformer Pilates equipment and dedicated treatment spaces, allowing our clinicians to take patients from their initial assessment through to higher-level rehabilitation, strength and conditioning and return to sport.
We have a strong focus on high-quality clinical care, evidence-based practice and active rehabilitation, with a growing client base across Sydney's Inner West.
We're continuing to expand our services, and Women's and Pelvic Health is an area we're particularly excited to develop further.
The Opportunity
We're open to discussing part-time or full-time arrangements, as well as the structure of the caseload, for the right candidate.
For someone wanting a mixed role, there is the opportunity to maintain a broad MSK caseload while developing a dedicated Women's/Pelvic Health caseload.
Alternatively, if your passion is solely Women's and Pelvic Health, we'd still love to hear from you and discuss what the role could look like.
We're looking for someone who wants to become part of the clinic rather than simply fill a position. For the right clinician, there is an opportunity to take ownership of the Women's and Pelvic Health service, build strong local referral relationships and have genuine input into how this area of The Addison develops.
If this sounds like the right fit, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply via SEEK with your CV and a short introduction outlining your Pelvic Floor/Women's Health training, clinical experience and the type of caseload you're looking for.
