Kitchen Hand

For over 70 years Bethanie has been warmly welcoming older West Australians into a caring and personal environment.  We’re a leading, trusted not-for-profit organisation, and we’re proudly local to Western Australia, welcoming people in our aged care homes, retirement villages, community housing and more.

We are currently seeking experienced Kitchen Hands to provide daily support to our residents at Bethanie Peel, Mandurah. This role is offered on a Casual Basis.

The successful candidates must be available to work 8 hours per week minimum.

The total renumeration for this position is $28.89 per hour.

About You

• Possess a passion for or previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment.
• Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group.
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or National Police Clearance.

The Role

• Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Ensuring required ingredients are available daily.
• Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals.
• Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition.
• Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.
