About the role
This is a part-time teaching position offering a balanced mix of teaching, planning, documentation, reflection and collaboration. You will lead the Monday & Tuesday group, working minimum 18 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
Planning and delivering a high-quality, play-based educational program
Building warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and families
Working collaboratively with our experienced and supportive teaching team
Maintaining thoughtful documentation and engaging in reflective practice
Supporting children's wellbeing, learning and development
Contributing to our welcoming, inclusive and community-focused culture
About you
A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent
Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, National Child Safety training or able to complete before commencement
Knowledge of the EYLF, QKLG and NQS
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A commitment to inclusive, child centred and high quality practice
Willingness to work within a community kindergarten life and participate in voluntary events such as fundraising and working bees.
A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team

Strathpine Community Kindergarten is a well-established, not-for-profit kindergarten with a proud 50+ year history of providing high-quality, play-based early childhood education. Strathpine Kindy is a warm, welcoming community kindergarten with a strong focus on relationships, belonging and learning through play. We are affiliated with C&K and operated by a parent elected management committee. We are a double unit service offering 3 kindergarten programs, young kindy and bush kindy. Our experienced team works collaboratively to create a positive environment where children, families and educators feel valued and supported.
