What’s the role?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, based in Toowoomba (or surrounds).

This role is the perfect middle ground offering a lifestyle roster and the chance to work across multiple mine sites in Australia and around the world.

In this role, you will travel to multiple of our Customer sites all over Australia and the world to support our assets. You will use your electrical and mechanical skills to commission new machines, perform maintenance on current machines in the field as well as train Customer mine site personnel on the RME suite of technologies that may be fitted to their machines.  

Our Techs build strong relationships with customers and represent our business proudly. As a customer-facing role, our techs interact with key stakeholders of mines and are the ‘face of RME’.

The Field Service Technician role at RME is heavily safety focused, producing exceptional work while ensuring the safety of yourself and others is our priority. This role is a key part of the servicing journey of RME’s innovative Mill Relining equipment and supports our customers on their mine sites.  Our Field Service Technician Team have wealth of experience in their Trades and are willing to continue learning and build their skill.

• Worked all of your 75 days for the half? You can choose to stay home for the remainder or work additional days and earn extra pay at your daily rate on top of your salary.

• Day rates range from $750 to $1,000 per day, depending on experience and performance. This equals a salary range of $112,500 to $150,000 per year for 150 days of work!

• You will regularly travel to new and exciting places both domestically in Australia and internationally around the world! Meet new people and engage in new and unique work experiences on the many sites you will visit. 

• Get picked up from your house and taken to the airport so you do not have to worry about travel!

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Certificate III in recognised field (e.g. Electrotechnology, Fitter & Turner, Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic) or similar Australian Recognised Trade Qualification.

• White Card

• A strong Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

• You must also have a current open driver's licence.

• A positive Customer-centric attitude with excellent communication skills.
