Join a network of over 1400 volunteers who are making a real difference to lives of others Be part of a like-minded, compassionate, and inclusive community Gain valuable industry skills and experience  What You’ll Be DoingYou will work alongside staff and fellow volunteers to organise and deliver engaging activities, such as: Provide a pastoral presence and spiritual care to residents and families. Offer a safe and empathetic space for residents to share their stories and find meaning. Support the chaplain and pastoral care team in delivering pastoral and spiritual services. Assist with spiritual activities such as communion and worship. Uphold ethical and professional boundaries, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. Report any concerns to your designated chaplain or pastoral care. Volunteer characteristics we are looking for: Aligned to Uniting’s values: Compassionate, Respectful, Imaginative, Bold Commitment: Days and times for volunteering are flexible however roles which build relationships with people require a minimum commitment of 6-months. You can discuss your availability with our team. Able to commit and be punctual and inform your manager if something arises. A willingness to complete Uniting’s essential online induction and training A willingness to undergo backgrounds checks: which include a National Police check, reference checks, and other role dependent checks such as Working with Children Check Person centred and a great communicator Application review timeframes and processThe ability to secure a volunteering position Uniting depends on several factors, including availability at your requested location and your ability to provide all necessary pre-requisites.
