Sales Area Account Manager

About the role

This is a full-time, permanent sales position servicing an existing network of flooring retailers whilst looking for growth opportunities. The designated territory is centred around Sydney with periodic travel to the South Coast of NSW and ACT. As a member of the sales team, you will receive ongoing training to become a knowledgeable expert on products and the flooring industry. The role demands a high level of initiative, sales acumen, and the ability to meet and exceed goals. The workplace is dynamic and ever-changing. Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of your designated sales territory, ensuring top-line sales, exceptional service delivery, and strong relationships

• Manage accounts, ensuring consistent performance and strategic alignment with overall business objectives

• Monitor market trends and consumer needs through engagement of retailer partners to adapt strategies

• Cultivate positive customer relationships through consistent communication and service

• Build stands and maintain sampling within stores

• Maintain POS within retail partners

• Meet and exceed established sales targets and objectives within designated timeframes

• Submit regular reports to management on activity and results

• Continuously improve performance through seeking and incorporating feedback

About you

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a Sales or Account management role

• Strong sales background with proven record of achieving and surpassing sales targets

• Passion for providing superior customer service and exceptional communication abilities

• Professional personal presentation and demeanor

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail

• Positive attitude, integrity, reliability and dedication, with the ability to perform well under pressure

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ordering software and client databases

• Floor covering industry background is preferred but not necessary
