Shift Miller/ Trainee Millers - Full Time | Training Provided

Laucke Flour Mills is one of Australia’s leading flour milling businesses, known for our commitment to quality, innovation and strong customer relationships. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Mill Production Operator (Shift Miller) to join our team at our Strathalbyn site.

As a Shift Miller, you will be responsible for overseeing and operating the milling process during your shift, ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently achieved.

You will play a key role in maintaining efficient mill operations, supporting team performance, and ensuring product quality meets customer expectations.

• Operate and monitor flour milling processes to meet production schedules

• Ensure all products meet required quality standards through testing and adjustments

• Maintain accurate production and quality records for each shift

• Support and guide mill operatives during your shift

• Conduct routine checks, sampling and process monitoring of raw materials and finished products

• Assist with preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns efficiently

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and site presentation

• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality systems and OH&S requirements

• Participate in shift handovers, team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

We are looking for candidates who are reliable, practical and eager to learn. Experience in manufacturing or food production is highly regarded, but not essential.

You will ideally bring:

• Experience in manufacturing, food processing or similar environment (preferred)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to work shift-based rosters

• Good communication and record-keeping skills

• Commitment to workplace safety and hygiene standards

• Experience in flour milling, grain handling or similar process industries

• Exposure to quality systems, testing procedures or production reporting

• Previous experience working in a shift-based production environment
