Honeysuckle Restaurant is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team in Buderim.

We are an established, highly regarded modern Asian hatted restaurant on the Sunshine Coast, with a strong local following and a reputation for quality food, hospitality and service.

This is an important role within our business. We are looking for someone who doesn't simply manage a shift, but someone who can take ownership of the restaurant, lead the team and help drive the business forward.

The Role

Working closely with the Owner/Chef, you will be responsible for the overall front-of-house operation and the smooth running of service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and developing the FOH team
• Taking ownership of daily restaurant operations
• Ensuring consistently high standards of service and hospitality
• Managing reservations, floor plans and service flow
• Preparing and managing staff rosters
• Training and onboarding new team members
• Managing staff performance and maintaining a positive team culture
• Monitoring labour costs and staffing levels
• Managing stock, ordering and wastage
• Ensuring food safety, workplace health and safety standards are maintained
• Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
• Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the restaurant
• Leading from the floor during busy services

Who We're Looking For

The right person will be:

A leader, not just a supervisor.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Venue Manager or experienced Assistant Manager
• Strong knowledge of beverage, wine, cocktails & restaurant operations
• Excellent communication and people-management skills
• Confidence managing a busy service
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience with rostering, labour management and cost control
• A genuine understanding of hospitality and guest experience
• A hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example
• A positive, professional and reliable attitude
• The ability to make decisions and take responsibility

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
