Burwood | Chef/Cook - Childcare

Little Zak's Academy is a privately owned, family-run early childhood organisation providing high-quality education and care in a safe and nurturing environment.
 
We are seeking a Full-Time Cook/Chef to join our Burwood Heights centre and prepare fresh, nutritious meals for children aged 0-5 years.
 
About the Role

• Full-time position, Monday-Friday (approx. 7:00am-3:00pm)
• Prepare morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea using a rotating menu
• Cater for allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural needs
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and storage standards
• Manage food ordering within budget and receive deliveries
• Work with the Centre Director on menu planning
• Engage positively with children and staff throughout the day

About You

• Experience in cooking, hospitality, or commercial kitchen environments (childcare experience desirable)
• Knowledge of food safety and allergy management
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, First Aid, and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Organised, reliable, and passionate about child nutrition and wellbeing
