Senior Digital Strategist (SEO)

What will you do?

As a Senior Digital Strategist, you’ll manage your own portfolio of clients – including high-value and complex accounts – while helping to lift quality, innovation and best practice across the wider Strategist team. This role stays hands-on with the work you love, with the added scope to pilot new strategies, shape our products and processes, and mentor the people around you.

Your time will be split roughly 70% direct client strategy and execution, 20% mentoring and skills transfer, and 10% insights and feedback.

• Manage and optimise a portfolio of clients, including a range of high-value and/or complex accounts.
• Lead the development and execution of advanced SEO strategies tailored to individual client goals.
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships through clear communication, transparency and proactive recommendations.
• Monitor campaign performance, implement data-driven adjustments, troubleshoot issues and ensure delivery meets or exceeds agreed quality benchmarks.
• Present insights, opportunities and recommendations that support client retention and growth.
• Design and run pilot programs for new strategies, products, processes and optimisation methods.
• Provide structured feedback to Product and Operations, influencing product and process improvement.
• Mentor peers through shadowing and buddying, facilitate best practice workshops, and support the onboarding of new Strategists.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, applying relevant innovations to enhance client outcomes.

Required:

• Proven experience as a Digital Strategist (or similar) with a strong track record of delivering measurable client results.
• Advanced hands-on expertise in SEO strategy, optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Confidence presenting insights, performance and recommendations directly to clients.
• Strong communication and coaching skills, with a genuine interest in developing others.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• An analytical, data-led approach to decision making and continuous improvement.

Nice to have:

• Experience mentoring, buddying or facilitating training and workshops for peers.
• Current Google Ads and/or Google Analytics certifications.
• Agency experience managing a portfolio of small to medium business clients.
• Exposure to piloting new products, processes or optimisation methods.
