Food & Beverage Manager (Gold Coast)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join our team at our Coolangatta location on the Gold Coast. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to lead our food and beverage operations and contribute to the continued success of our hospitality business. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of F&B service, ensuring guests receive an exceptional experience whilst maintaining operational efficiency and profitability. This role is pivotal in shaping the guest experience and driving the performance of our venue.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily food and beverage operations, including service delivery, quality control, and guest satisfaction

• Lead, motivate, and develop your team, providing coaching, training, and performance management

• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to maximise profitability whilst maintaining quality standards

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations across all food and beverage operations

• Create and implement menus, special promotions, and beverage programmes that drive revenue and enhance the guest experience

• Monitor and maintain hygiene standards and food safety protocols in accordance with industry best practices

• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing to achieve optimal value

• Analyse sales data and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategic initiatives

• Handle guest complaints and concerns with professionalism, resolving issues to maintain customer loyalty

• Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and service excellence

What we're looking for

• 2+ years' experience in a food and beverage management role within a hospitality setting, preferably in a multi-outlet or high-volume venue

• Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating hospitality teams

• Strong knowledge of food safety, health and hygiene standards, and licensing requirements

• Excellent financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive profitability

• Experience in menu development, beverage programs, and promotional strategy

• Outstanding customer service skills with a guest-focused mindset

• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and hospitality management software

• Relevant qualifications such as Food Safety Supervisor or Hospitality Management certification (preferred but not essential)
