Production Chef

Monday to Friday | Day Shifts Only | Murarrie

Brubecks Boutique Foods is a family-run food manufacturing business producing premium, chef-made meals and salads for independent supermarkets and retailers.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a solid, experienced and hands-on Production Chef to lead two sections within our busy production kitchen.

This is a working leadership position. You will be actively involved in production while supervising up to 10 team members, organising daily workloads and ensuring production targets are achieved without compromising food quality, consistency or safety.

• Lead the daily operation of two kitchen production sections.

• Supervise, organise and motivate a team of up to 10 production staff.

• Plan daily workloads, allocate tasks and ensure production targets and deadlines are met.

• Prepare high volumes of chilled ready-to-eat meals and salads to precise specifications.

• Follow standard recipes, procedures and portion controls to maintain consistency.

• Monitor product quality, presentation and yield throughout production.

• Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation and traceability information.

• Work closely with our Production Manager and QA Manager to maintain HACCP, food safety and quality standards.

• Ensure each section remains clean, organised and ready for efficient production.

• Identify production issues and implement practical solutions quickly.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

• Strong experience as a chef within high-volume food production, catering, manufacturing or a similarly busy kitchen environment.

• Proven experience supervising a kitchen or production team.

• The ability to confidently manage up to 10 staff and achieve daily production targets.

• Excellent organisation, time-management and communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of food safety, allergen management and HACCP procedures.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the discipline to follow recipes and specifications precisely.

• A calm, practical and solutions-focused approach when working under pressure.

• The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to the wider team.

• A hands-on, energetic attitude and genuine pride in producing ridiculously delicious food.

A relevant commercial cookery qualification is strongly preferred.

• Monday-to-Friday day shifts.

• No nights or weekend work.
