What you can expect in a night in this role: 

As a Permanent Part-Time Night Duty Manager, you’ll support the Front Office Manager in leading overnight operations, ensuring the Front Office and wider hotel run smoothly. Working overnight from 11:00pm to 7:00am on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, you will be the most senior leader on shift, taking full ownership of the hotel and ensuring all departments operate efficiently while delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience. 

In this role, you will combine operational leadership with core Night Auditor responsibilities, including completing end-of-day financial reconciliations, balancing accounts, and preparing daily reports for management. You will manage late-night guest arrivals and departures, respond to guest enquiries, and resolve any issues with professionalism and care.  

What you will bring to the role:  

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel Front Office (ideally as a Night Audit) 

• Current full manual Driver’s License is essential   

• Tasmanian recognised Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)  

• Strong time management, organisation, and planning skills with excellent attention to detail  

• Exceptional cash handling, financial auditing and bookkeeping skills 

• Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders  

• Experience using a Property Management System (PMS), preferably RMS 

• First Aid Certificate, or the ability to obtain 

• Availability to work Tuesday and Wednesday night shifts (11:00pm – 7:00am), with flexibility to pick up additional shifts as required.
