About the role:

We’re looking for a Head of Asset Management to provide the commercial leadership and performance discipline required to translate GO.FARM’s investment strategies into resilient, high-performing agricultural assets.

Reporting to the Chief Agricultural Officer, this is a senior leadership role with accountability for asset strategy, financial performance, capital allocation, reporting and value creation across the portfolio.

In this role, you will:

• Lead, mentor and develop the Asset Management team.
• Drive the commercial and financial performance of GO.FARM’s agricultural assets, ensuring each asset delivers against its approved strategy.
• Develop and maintain asset management plans that define strategic priorities, capital requirements, key risks and expected investor outcomes.
• Challenge asset performance, identify gaps and value-creation opportunities, and ensure agreed actions are delivered.
• Lead capital allocation and provide commercial assessment of infrastructure, productivity, water and operational initiatives.
• Use financial and operational analysis, benchmarking and market insights to improve performance, capital efficiency and long-term asset value.
• Support investment evaluations, transactions and major value-creation initiatives through rigorous commercial analysis and clear recommendations.
• Identify portfolio-wide opportunities across areas such as water, labour, infrastructure and operating efficiency, working with Farm Leaders and functional teams to deliver outcomes.
• Prepare and present clear performance updates, recommendations and decision papers to Executive Management and the Board.
• Strengthen asset management practices, reporting, governance and decision-making as the portfolio continues to grow.

About you:

You’re a commercially strong senior leader who can move comfortably between strategy, financial performance and operational reality. You bring sound judgement, are comfortable challenging assumptions and know how to turn analysis into clear decisions and action.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

• Significant experience in asset management, investment management, commercial management, operational finance or a related field.
• Demonstrated accountability for the performance of complex assets, portfolios or businesses.
• Strong leadership experience and a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Strong commercial judgement, analytical capability and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in agriculture, property, infrastructure, natural capital or other operational asset classes will be highly regarded.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, Property or a related discipline.
