FamilyCare
About the role
FamilyCare is one of regional Victoria's largest and most progressive community service organisations, operating across Greater Shepparton, Mitchell, Murrindindi, Strathbogie, and Moira. As one of the leading providers of child and family services in the region, including disability support, NDIS coordination, and carer programs, FamilyCare is deeply committed to improving outcomes for victim survivors and their children. We are also strongly focused on supporting older community members, and people with disabilities to live well and remain connected to their communities.
We foster a positive, empowering culture that supports strong leadership, professional growth, and improved outcomes for the people, clients and communities that we serve.
About the Role
FamilyCare's Restoring Families Program delivers evidence-informed, family-centred interventions and supports for children and families with significant, enduring needs, aiming to divert families from, and prevent further progression into, statutory services. It is an innovative approach to delivering evidence informed and coordinated support to vulnerable child and families through strengthened partnerships with Child Protection and all referring agencies.
The Restoring Families Practitioner brings extensive knowledge and experience, enabling them to manage complex cases, operate with a high level of autonomy, and provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues.
This role demands a demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, display strong self-management and initiative, and make informed decisions in line with organisational policies and procedures.
