Senior Estimator | Help Build & Lead Our Estimating Department

About the role

You will be responsible for estimating a range of residential and commercial construction projects from initial plans through to handover to our construction team.

Key responsibilities

• Reviewing architectural, structural and engineering plans.

• Preparing detailed estimates, take-offs and scopes of works.

• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier pricing.

• Identifying project risks, omissions and opportunities.

• Preparing tender submissions and project budgets.

• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.

• Assisting with procurement and pre-construction planning.

• Working closely with our Directors, Design and Construction teams.

• Helping improve estimating systems and processes.

• Help manage the process until it reaches the construction hand over.

About you

• 5+ years estimating experience in the Australian construction industry.

• Strong experience in residential construction, renovations and extensions.

• Commercial fit-out experience highly regarded.

• Strong understanding of construction methodology and trade pricing.

• Ability to accurately read and interpret plans and specifications.

• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
