About The Role

As a Special Class Welder, you'll perform high-quality structural welding on complex Defence projects while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, quality and safety.

Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll contribute to building Australia's future naval capability while developing your skills on some of the country's most exciting engineering projects.

Australian Citizenship (mandatory due to Defence requirements)Trade qualifications as a Special Class WelderRecent experience welding FCAWProven structural welding experiencePrevious shipbuilding or naval construction experienceStrong knowledge of AS 1554.1 and high-integrity welding practicesCommitment to safety, quality and teamworkAbility to pass a pre-employment medical assessmentAbility to obtain a clear Federal Police CheckSuccessful completion of a pre-employment weld test
