Housekeeper - School Boarding House

Intrepid Cleaning is hiring! We are looking for an experienced cleaner who wants a stable, long-term position with a supportive company.

Snapshot of the Role:

• Location: Karrinyup

• Hours: Part-time 5 days per week (31 hours). Shifts are between 9am – 4pm. There is opportunity to take on additional hours on weekends or work evening shifts if desired.

• Pay: Above award $35.20 (cleaners award night rate)

Description of the role:

• Cleaning the interior of boarding houses including common areas and staff and student’s rooms.

• Vacuuming and mopping floors.

• Cleaning and disinfecting bathroom and laundry fixtures and replenishing consumables.

• Emptying bins and removing rubbish.

• Applying appropriate chemicals to remove stains and dirt.

• Reporting any maintenance issues.
  
  Requirements:

• Relevant experience in cleaning schools/offices (minimum 1 year in Australia)

• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with school staff.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Good time management skills with the ability to adjust to changing workloads.

• Good organisational skills with the ability to work unsupervised.

• Ability to show initiative and problem solve.

• Must hold or be willing to apply for a Working with Children Check card.

• Must hold or be willing to apply for a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check via the Department of Education (WA).
