Sustainability Consultant

About the role

The role can be based anywhere in Australia, with flexible remote and hybrid working arrangements available.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) ratings across major infrastructure projects

• Support Green Star assessments and broader sustainability initiatives

• Contribute to sustainability and ESG strategy, reporting and benchmarking

• Assist with climate risk, carbon reduction and decarbonisation initiatives and assessments

• Prepare high-quality technical reports, submissions and client deliverables

• Work closely with clients and project teams to deliver practical sustainability outcomes

• Contribute to proposals, tenders and business development activities where appropriate

About you

• Essential: Demonstrated experience delivering Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) and Green Star ratings

• Tertiary qualification in sustainability, environmental science, engineering or a related discipline

• Experience within infrastructure, construction, engineering or consulting environments

• Strong technical writing and communication skills

• Confidence working directly with clients and project teams

• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and take ownership of your work

• Collaborative, proactive and interested in growing with a smaller consultancy

• Highly regarded: IS Accredited Professional credentials

• Highly regarded: Green Star experience and/or accreditation

• Highly regarded: Experience in carbon, climate risk, ESG or sustainability reporting
