About the role

Back a winner—and join the team that brings smiles!

Are you looking for a way to give back? We are hoping to connect a friendly social volunteer to enjoy weekly one hour visits with a gentleman who is a passionate fan of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Rugby League, and horse racing.

He would love someone to share lively conversations, talk about the latest matches and races, and enjoy relaxed companionship. Your visits could include chatting about sports, sharing stories, or simply spending quality time together.

If you enjoy good banter, sport, and making a real difference in someone’s week, we’d love to hear from you—this could be your winning play each week.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
