Contract Type: Fixed term contract, terms 2-3, 2023-24 (8/1/24-15/6/24)

Salary: Grade 7 ( £41,004.82 – £48,168.82 inc London Weighting)

Location: SOAS, Bloomsbury, London

Hours: 6 hours/week teaching contact time

About the Department: The HRP department teaches and does research in a wider range of historical, religious and philosophical traditions and cultures than any other programme in the field. With our highly diverse expertise, our comprehensive resources, and our interdisciplinary approach we offer a unique learning and research environment for a truly inter-cultural approach to world history and cultural practices in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

About the Role: Replacement teaching (including convening lectures and seminars, setting of exams, essay and exam marking, provision and administration of course material on BLE) of four Judaism modules: UG Jewish Identity from Ancient to Modern Times, partly co-taught with PG Religion, Nationhood and Ethnicity in Judaism; UG Representations of the Holocaust, partly co-taught with PG The Holocaust in Theology, Literature and Art, which are integral parts of the MA Religion and Politics and the BA World Philosophies. The modules are all scheduled to term 2, with revision sessions and exams in term 3, 2023-4.
