About the role
As the People Specialist / Senior People Specialist, you will be the primary HR contact for the Western Australia business in Perth, providing trusted advice and day-to-day support to managers and employees across the employee lifecycle.
Working closely with the Senior People Business Partner, ANZ, you will support a broad range of people initiatives, including employee relations, talent management, organizational development, performance management, and change activities. You will also play a key role in delivering efficient HR operations, ensuring a positive employee experience and compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
Beyond WA, you will collaborate with the broader ANZ People team on regional programs and projects, helping drive consistency, continuous improvement, and best-practice people solutions across the region.
What you will be doing
Serve as the primary HR partner for the Perth business, providing trusted advice and support to managers and employees across a broad range of people matters.
Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and change initiatives.
Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, talent development, succession planning, and retention.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to deliver high-quality hiring outcomes, ensuring recruitment processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
Coach and support people leaders on performance management, employee development, workplace policies, and people-related decisions.
Assist in building a high-performance culture through effective performance, talent, and leadership development practices.
Lead or contribute to local and regional HR projects, including organizational development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Deliver efficient and compliant HR operations, including employee documentation, HRIS administration, and employee lifecycle transactions.
Coordinate payroll inputs and work closely with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Maintain high-quality employee data, produce people reports and insights, and support compliance and governance requirements.
Partner with HR colleagues, People Technology, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the employee experience.
Support the implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives aligned with RS Group's people strategy and business objectives.
We're looking for someone who:
Minimum 4 years' experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably within a multinational organization.
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and statutory requirements.
Experience in interpreting awards is essential.
Experience on HRIS, payroll administration or payroll vendor management (e.g. ADP) is preferred.
Be able to work independently. Strong problem-solving skill. Good track record in the previous working experience.
Ability to handle multiple priorities, detail-orientation, build credibility and deliver results with integrity.
Good communication skill to influence key stakeholders to reach out agreement.
Experience in Matrix reporting
Proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors or other HRIS platforms such as Workday.
Strong Microsoft Office skills; experience with Power BI or HR analytics tools is advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
