Apprentice Electrician – Solar & Battery Installations

Cable Smith Electrical Services is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Apprentice Electrician to join our solar and battery installation team. Based in Kenwick 6107.

This isn't a position for someone completely new to the industry. We're looking for an apprentice who already has hands-on solar installation experience, knows their way around a roof and wants to become a highly skilled electrician specialising in solar, battery storage and renewable energy.

The Role

You'll work alongside our qualified electricians completing residential and commercial installations across Perth, including:

• Solar PV installations

• Battery storage systems

• Full-home backup systems

• Inverters and associated equipment

• Switchboard upgrades

• EV chargers

• Testing, commissioning and fault finding

• General electrical works associated with renewable energy installations

You'll be part of an experienced installation team and receive ongoing training as you progress through your apprenticeship.

What We're Looking For

Previous solar installation experience is essential.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Current electrical apprenticeship

• Previous hands-on solar installation experience

• Confidence working on roofs

• White Card

• Working at Heights certification

• Current driver's licence

• Good understanding of tools and installation practices

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team

• Pride in producing clean, professional installations

Battery installation experience is highly regarded but not essential if you have solid solar experience and are willing to learn.
