Business Development Manager

Are you a driven Business Development professional who thrives on building relationships, winning new business, and driving commercial growth? ORIX Australia is looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to join our Rental & Mobility team in Victoria.

This role is ideal for a true hunter who enjoys being out on the road, meeting customers face-to-face, identifying new opportunities, and delivering tailored fleet, rental, and mobility solutions. You’ll manage and grow major accounts while working closely with internal teams to maximise customer outcomes and increase market share across Victoria.

INCLUDED IN WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Major Account customers through regular face-to-face meetings and proactive account management.
• Drive new business growth through lead generation, cold calling, networking, and identifying new opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategic customer plans to maximise uptake of ORIX Rental, Mobility, and Fleet solutions.
• Collaborate with Branch Operations, Asset Risk, Credit, and Commercial teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
• Lead commercial negotiations and close opportunities that drive revenue growth and increased share of wallet.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to optimise customer experience, retention, and long-term account growth.
• Stay ahead of market trends and position ORIX’s mobility solutions as innovative and future-focused.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting on customer activity and pipeline performance.
• Represent ORIX professionally in the marketplace while upholding our values and commitment to customer service.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

• Proven experience in Business Development or Sales
• A strong hunter mentality with confidence in cold calling, prospecting, and developing new business opportunities.
• Background in rental, transport, fleet management, mobility, asset finance, or related industries is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to identify customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• A self-motivated and autonomous approach with strong time management skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and results.
