Dental Assistant/Receptionist

Looking to get your foot in the door of the dental industry? Dentalcare Mount Barker is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team.

No previous dental experience is required. We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn, enjoys working with people and wants to build a career in a supportive practice environment.

This is a full-time position across a 9-day fortnight, giving you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across both dental assisting and reception while enjoying a great work-life balance.

As a Dental Assistant/Receptionist, you’ll learn and support our team across both the clinical and front desk areas, including:

• Assisting our dentists and clinical team during patient appointments
• Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining infection control standards
• Sterilisation and maintaining clinical compliance
• Welcoming and supporting patients with a warm and professional approach
• Managing patient appointments and recalls
• Answering phone enquiries and providing excellent customer service
• Processing payments and health fund claims
• Supporting the team with day-to-day practice operations

We're looking for someone who:

• Is enthusiastic about starting a career in the dental industry
• Is friendly, approachable and passionate about providing great patient care
• Has strong communication and customer service skills
• Is eager to learn and develop new skills
• Is organised, reliable and able to multitask in a busy environment
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
• Has a positive attitude and is happy to help wherever needed
• Previous customer service, administration, hospitality or healthcare experience but not essential
