Senior Business Project / Program Lead Sydney | 10-Month Contract

About the Opportunity Advance Thinking is seeking an experienced Senior Business Project / Program Lead to join one of our key enterprise clients and lead the delivery of complex, high-impact business initiatives.

This is a senior delivery role for someone who can take ownership of business transformation, navigate complex organisational dependencies and bring together senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful commercial and operational outcomes.

You'll work across a complex enterprise environment, providing structure, leadership and delivery discipline while maintaining a strong focus on business outcomes, benefits and operational improvement.

The Role You'll lead complex business projects and programs from initial definition through to implementation, working closely with senior business leaders and delivery teams to turn strategic priorities into tangible outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead complex business transformation projects and programs from definition through delivery.
• Establish clear delivery plans, milestones, governance and accountability.
• Manage performance against agreed scope, schedule, budget and business outcomes.
• Lead project and program budgeting, forecasting and planning.
• Coordinate resources, workstreams and complex organisational dependencies.
• Identify and actively manage risks, issues and delivery constraints.
• Build trusted relationships with senior business and executive stakeholders.
• Influence senior leaders and support the execution of strategic priorities.
• Manage external partners and key delivery relationships.
• Identify and drive operational efficiencies and process improvements.
• Maintain a strong focus on benefits realisation and measurable business outcomes.
• Provide clear and meaningful reporting to senior stakeholders and governance forums.

What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced senior delivery professional who can confidently lead complex business initiatives within a large enterprise environment.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Significant senior project and/or program management experience.
• A strong track record delivering large and complex business transformation initiatives.
• Strong commercial and financial management capability.
• Excellent executive and senior stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong planning, governance, risk and delivery disciplines.
• Experience coordinating multiple teams, workstreams and organisational dependencies.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive accountability.
• Experience identifying and delivering operational and process improvements.
• Strong focus on benefits realisation and business outcomes.
• Excellent written, verbal and executive communication skills.

Previous experience within General Insurance would be highly regarded.

Experience across underwriting, insurance operations or broader insurance transformation would be particularly advantageous.
