Financial Accountant Opportunity

Brisbane Southern Suburbs. Parking included. 2 days WFH.

Fixed-Term Contract until July 2027

The Opportunity

This position covers parental leave until July 2027 within a global business. Join a team to process month-end accounting tasks and cost reporting. The rhythm involves one week focused on month-end tasks and three weeks spent on analysis, reporting, and forecasting.

Your Impact

• Month-End Accounting: Post journal entries, process accruals, and complete balance sheet reconciliations for month-end and year-end close.
• Reporting & Analysis: Deliver cost budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to track expenditure and cost metrics.
• Reconciliations: Calculate and reconcile cost accounts, liabilities, and commitments.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with business units to report performance, variance trends, and operational impacts.

About You

• Experience in a Financial Accountant role. CA/CPA not required.
• Core Skills: Background performing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and month-end journal entries.
• Systems & Tools: Experience in Excel and ERP systems.
• Data Analysis: Ability to process and reconcile datasets to support reporting and forecasting.
