Administration Officer - Gold Coast

About the role

Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking an Administration Officer to work within our team. This position will be employed on a casual basis. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope’s Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater’s commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.

Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. 

Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25 per hour plus superannuation plus casual loading and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

• Providing exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
• Management of referrals, waitlists and appointment scheduling, aligning with KPIs and reporting requirements and ensuring accurate data entry
• Handling all patient enquiries, including phone calls and emails, ensuring positive patient experiences at all interactions
• Supporting clinical teams, ensuring smooth flow of daily clinics
• Providing administrative support to clinic staff
• Maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration and financial policy and procedure, maintaining accurate, current and accessible records

About you

• Experience in senior administrative roles, ideally within healthcare or a similar service-focused environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Health Information Systems or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in all tasks
• A collaborative mindset, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement
