About the RoleYou will be joining a practice with a strong reputation through out Central Queensland and an established referral network from GPs, paediatricians, schools, NDIS providers and other health professionals. With a consistent waitlist and high demand for psychology services in the region, you will have the opportunity to step into a full and rewarding caseload from the outset.You will provide evidence based therapy and psychological assessments across a range of presentations while working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.Typical presentations include:Anxiety, depression, emotional regulationTrauma, PTSD, grief and lossBehavioural concernsNeurodevelopmental supportFamily and parenting challengesCouples therapyWomen's and Men's mental healthWorkplace stress and performance concernsConfidence, identity and personal developmentSeparation and life transitions
You'll also have opportunities to complete psychometric assessments and provide comprehensive reports to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Your ResponsibilitiesDeliver evidence based therapy to children, adolescents and adults.Conduct psychological and psychometric assessments.Prepare high quality clinical reports.Provide feedback to families, schools, GPs and other professionals.Deliver telehealth services when appropriate.Collaborate with our clinical team to provide outstanding client care.Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with professional standards.
About YouCurrent registration with AHPRAExperience or training in evidence based therapies such as: CBT, ACT, EMDR, IFS or similar modalitiesStrong assessment and report writing skillsExcellent communication and relationship building abilitiesA client centred and compassionate approachCommitment to ongoing learning and professional development
