About the role
Surf Life Saving NSW is seeking an energetic and adaptable professional with strong communication and project coordination skills to support clubs across the state.
As the Senior Club Capability Coordinator (Training & Education), you will help strengthen the capability of Surf Life Saving clubs across NSW. Based at SLSNSW Headquarters and reporting to the Club Services Manager, you will build strong relationships with priority clubs, identify current and emerging training needs and coordinate education initiatives that support sustainable club development.
Key duties
Consult with clubs, staff and volunteer teams to identify capability gaps and training support requirements.
Research and analyse information and data to inform capability-building strategies.
Coordinate education projects, courses and initiatives within agreed timeframes.
Coordinate and, where required, deliver online and face-to-face training and support.
Help clubs, trainers and assessors follow relevant training policies, processes and resource requirements.
Monitor and evaluate initiatives, report on progress and recommend improvements based on stakeholder feedback.
Keep up to date with changes in the VET sector that affect training and assessment within SLSNSW.
Develop clear communications, guidance materials and professional reports for stakeholders.
Build collaborative relationships with clubs, branches, volunteers, trainers, assessors and RTO/VET stakeholders.
Attend relevant branch and SLSNSW meetings and represent the organisation professionally.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience coordinating or facilitating education projects and courses within specified timeframes.
Current knowledge of the Australian Vocational Education and Training quality sector.
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, solutions-focused approach.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to project delivery.
The ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of volunteers and other stakeholders.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
The ability to analyse information and data and present professional reports and results.
Knowledge and understanding of quality management practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
A flexible approach to work, including availability for occasional weekend work.
A current driver’s licence.
Experience supporting and training people across a range of Surf Life Saving awards would be highly regarded.

Location: This position is primarily based at SLSNSW Headquarters in Belrose.
Position: Full-time, 12-month contract.
