Junior: Internal sales / Customer liaison

About the role

We are looking for reliable, Internal sales team member to join our busy team.

This is a Junior full-time, on-site position, and we are seeking a long-term employee.

It is suited to someone who enjoys liaising with customers in person, by email and by phone.

It is typically a fast-moving factory environment and in the long term will require an understanding of the entire workflow from sales to dispatch.

Much of the role is computer based, however a portion of the work will involve some manual handling when assisting customers to load smaller orders, large orders are typically managed by the production team.

Must-have requirements

Candidates should expect to be assessed against these criteria during the selection process:

·        Physical capability for light manual handling

·        You must be an Australian resident and fluent in English

·        You must be computer literate

·        You must be able to count accurately

Most of the math is easy, we most often count in multiples of 6, 8, 10, 20 25 or 50

·        Ability to understand measurements and measure accurately (training will be provided)

·        Willingness to learn, adapt and move between different tasks during the day

·        Good phone and email etiquette

Desirable attributes

·        Positive attitude and happy disposition

·        Good sense of humour and ability to work well with the team

We work hard but we also appreciate a good laugh

·        Previous retail experience (not required but preferred)

·        The ability to look at a 2D drawing and understand what that represents as a 3d product

Important things to know before applying

·        This is a varied role. As a team we process well over 200+ enquiries / calls a day, each unique in their own way.

The pace is typically fast, but some days will also include repetitive or quieter tasks. You need to be comfortable with both.

If you prefer only slow-paced work, this role is unlikely to suit you.

·        This job is at times somewhat physical. Upper body strength and general fitness can be advantageous.
