Property Manager – Hybrid | Melbourne CBD | Monday to Friday

Built to Rent Group (BTR Group) is a specialist property management business focused on delivering exceptional service across the Build to Rent and residential property sectors.

We’re looking for an experienced Property Manager to join our Melbourne team in a hybrid role, working between our Melbourne CBD office and from home.

With around 2–3 years’ property management experience, this is an opportunity to join a supportive and growing team, manage a quality portfolio and continue developing your career within a specialist property management business. This role is Monday to Friday only.

The Role

You’ll manage an established portfolio, which includes some multi-asset owners, providing the opportunity to build strong and consistent client relationships and really understand their portfolios.

You’ll also work closely with and support our Head of Property Management across their portfolio, giving you exposure to a broader range of properties and responsibilities.

Your role will include:

• Managing the day-to-day requirements of your residential property portfolio

• Building strong relationships with owners, residents and contractors

• Managing maintenance, repairs and general property matters

• Coordinating lease renewals, inspections and tenancy requirements, as required

• Managing arrears and other tenancy matters

• Coordinating contractors and following up maintenance works

• Ensuring properties are well maintained and tenancy matters are handled efficiently

• Supporting the Head of Property Management with her portfolio as required

• Ensuring compliance with Victorian residential tenancy legislation

• Working closely with our leasing team to ensure a smooth handover from leasing through to ongoing property management

You’ll Be Well Supported

You won’t be expected to do everything yourself.

Our leasing team provides dedicated support, allowing you to focus on managing your portfolio and delivering a high level of service to owners and residents. While the leasing team will support you with leasing activity, there may be times when you’ll need to assist with or support leasing-related tasks.

You’ll also work closely with our Head of Property Management and wider Melbourne and Sydney teams, giving you access to a broader pool of experience and support.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has 2–3 years’ experience in residential property management

• Holds the appropriate Victorian qualifications, registration and/or licence required to work as a Property Manager

• Has strong communication and organisational skills

• Is confident dealing with owners, residents and contractors

• Takes ownership and follows things through

• Is proactive, reliable and comfortable working independently

• Has excellent attention to detail

• Understands the importance of delivering a great customer experience

• Is comfortable working in a hybrid environment

• Has experience with Property Tree/MRI – highly beneficial, but not essential
