Timber Systems Designer / Detailer

About the role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Timber Systems Designer / Detailer to join our team in Somersby, NSW. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for an individual with Timber Systems Design experience to take the next step and grow with a leading manufacturer.

What you'll be doing

• Producing detailed designs and shop drawings for wall frame, truss and floor system designs

• Collaborating with Engineers, building designers and construction teams to ensure design requirements are met

• Conducting analyses to optimise timber design on residential and commercial projects

• Preparing detailed cost estimates

• Providing technical support and advice to clients throughout the construction process

• Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, standards, and best practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in timber system design

• Strong technical skills in either Pryda, Mitek or Multinail software

• Proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
