About the Opportunity

Our school seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of History to join our History Faculty. We are seeking a teacher who brings enthusiasm for History, a passion for engaging students in the exploration of past events and perspectives, and a commitment to nurturing academic growth. We welcome all applicants including new graduates and experienced teachers.

This role is temporary full time commencing in Term 1, 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to teach History across all stages.
• Create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical practices.
• Develop and maintain collegial relationships within and beyond the faculty.
• Demonstrate a commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing of young women.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• A qualified secondary History teacher with a strong understanding of the syllabus requirements and current NESA accreditation.

• Be confident in differentiating the curriculum in the classroom and committed to improving educational outcomes.
• Outstanding planning and organising skills, with strong attention to detail.
• All staff members at Loreto Normanhurst must participate in the Loreto Normanhurst Student Growth Model, which may mean being part of an Integrated Learning Team.
• Ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement.
