Senior Electrical Designer

With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, Fyfe is expanding its Power & Electrification capability and is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Designer to play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering high-quality technical design outcomes.

The Opportunity

You will be instrumental in delivering detailed design drawings and models for complex HV substations, transmission, renewable energy and associated infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawing packages including layouts, sections, elevations, equipment arrangements, cable routing, earthing layouts, and detailed construction drawings.
• Coordinate drafting outputs across multidisciplinary project teams to support successful project delivery.
• Work closely with engineers and project managers to develop practical design solutions

Requirements

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Extensive experience in drafting/design within high-voltage substations utilities, transmission or renewable energy projects
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation
• Experience with 3D modelling platforms and BIM design workflows 
• Understanding of utility and construction drawing requirements
• Strong communication skills
