Join Our Baking Team at Bakers Delight Wallan

We are looking for an experienced baker to join our production team at Bakers Delight Wallan, with a particular focus on bowl and bench work.

This role would suit a qualified baker or an experienced bakery worker who is confident mixing doughs, managing dough development and working efficiently across the bench.

Strong bowl and bench capabilities are the most important skills we are looking for. Oven experience is also highly regarded, but our oven setup is straightforward and training can be provided.

You will work as part of our production team preparing our daily bread and bakery range to Bakers Delight standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Mixing and managing a variety of doughs on the bowl

• Following production sheets, recipes and dough procedures accurately

• Monitoring dough development, temperatures and consistency

• Strong hands-on bench work, including moulding, shaping and preparing products

• Assisting with oven work and managing baking throughout production

• Maintaining product quality and consistency

• Keeping production areas clean, organised and food-safe

• Working efficiently as part of a team to complete production on time

Our Wallan bakery has a straightforward oven operation.

We run:

• 2 rack ovens

• No Rotel oven

• Simple production designed around working efficiently with the racks

If you have oven experience, you should find the setup easy to work with.

Experience using Jack Pro+ equipment is a bonus, however it is not essential. Full training can be provided for the right person.

• Strong and confident on the bowl

• Experienced and capable across the bench

• Comfortable working independently when required

• Able to follow production plans and recipes accurately

• Reliable, punctual and organised

• Focused on producing consistent, high-quality products

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment

• A good team member who communicates well with other bakers

• Experienced with rack ovens or willing to learn our oven setup

Previous Bakers Delight experience would be highly regarded, but it is not essential if you have solid commercial baking experience.

We can provide training in our systems, equipment and production processes.

If you already have strong bowl and bench fundamentals, we are happy to work with you on the rest, including our Jack Pro+ equipment and rack oven setup.
