Assistant Operations Manager PM

About the role

Working closely with the Owner, General Manager and Operations Manager, you'll play a hands-on, forward-facing role supporting venue managers and teams in the execution of day-to-day service and events. This is primarily a 5-night role, including weekends, with a strong focus on being on the floor where the action is. You'll be a driving force behind lifting standards across venues — coaching teams, running training, and helping build the skills and confidence of staff on the ground.

Key responsibilities

• Support venue managers and floor teams in the smooth execution of service and events across Sydney and Canberra venues

• Take a hands-on, visible role during service — leading by example on the floor

• Deliver staff training and actively work to elevate the skill set of teams

• Act as a key link between venue teams and senior leadership (Owner, GM and Operations Manager)

• Help maintain consistency in standards and execution across all venues

About you

• Proven experience in a similar operations, venue management or multi-site hospitality role.

• A genuine passion for staff development, training and mentoring.

• Availability to work 5 nights per week, including weekends.

• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly.

• Capacity to spend 2–3 nights per month in Canberra.

• A confident, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, forward-facing role.
