About the roleWe are hiring a hands-on AI Native SDLC Developer Lead, to form, mentor, and scale AI‑Native squads, design agentic workflows, and institute effective AI governance while delivering predictably within Agile cadences.
The role requires deep technical credibility across AI Claude Code agentic workflows from requirements to implementaiton, Java back end and Angular (TypeScript) front end to guide design, review complex PRs, and occasionally contribute code. You will own security posture (vulnerabilities, incidents), production readiness, and enterprise integrations.
AI‑Native Developer leadership and agentic workflowsStand up and mature AI‑Native SDLC squads: roles, rituals, artefacts, and operating guardrails.Design AI Native SDLC agentic workflows (task decomposition, tool orchestration, evaluation harnesses) with clear success criteria.Implement AI governance: data handling, privacy, policy compliance, auditability, and CI/CD quality gates for AI‑assisted outputs.Coach software developers to leverage AI Native SDLC agentic workflows effectively and safely; codify prompt libraries and reusable patterns.Specification‑Driven DevelopmentChampion AI Native SDLC spec‑driven approaches across services and UIs: contract‑first APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger), AsyncAPI for eventing, and JSON Schema for payloads.Adopt consumer‑driven contracts (e.g., Pact) and golden‑path templates; gate builds on spec validation and compatibility checks.Maintain traceability from specs → code → tests → runbooks; keep specs as the single source of truth.Engineering leadershipDefine AI Native SDLC reference architectures for Java/Spring Boot and Angular; enforce coding standards, testing strategy, and definition of done.Review high‑risk designs/PRs for performance, security, and maintainability; drive reuse and consistency.Own integration patterns with enterprise platforms (API gateways, IAM/SSO, messaging, telemetry, CI/CD).Security, reliability, and operationsLead vulnerability management and incident response with clear SLAs and transparent reporting.Establish SLOs/error budgets, observability baselines, runbooks, and readiness gates prior to release.Drive preventative engineering and post‑incident learning.Delivery and governanceTranslate strategy and goals into AI Native SDLC roadmaps, PI objectives, and team backlogs with measurable outcomes.Work with the Scrum Master to manage cross‑squad dependencies, risks, and quality/security gates in pipelines.Maintain transparent delivery metrics (lead time, change failure rate, reliability) and escalate risks early.People leadership and capabilityLine‑manage and coach ~20 full stack developers (seniors and juniors); run structured 1:1s, growth plans, and succession.Mentor juniors through pairing, code reviews, and guided learning; foster a documentation‑first culture.Drive hiring and workforce planning to maintain a healthy skill mix across squads.Stakeholder managementPartner with Technical Product Owners, Scrum Master, Architecture, Cyber Security, Data/Platform, and Operations to align on intent and trade‑offs.Communicate status, risks, and decisions clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Technical RequirementsCore back endExpert in AI Native SDLC, with full certifications in Claude Code Partner and Developer.Expert in Java 11+ and Spring Boot: REST API design, service decomposition, resilience, and security (Spring Security, OAuth2/OIDC).JPA/Hibernate, SQL (indexing, query tuning), pragmatic data modelling.API lifecycle management and contract‑first (OpenAPI/Swagger); versioning and compatibility management.Core front end (Angular)Angular (TypeScript) at expert level: component architecture, RxJS, change detection, routing, forms, and state management (NgRx or equivalent).UI performance, accessibility, and testing (Jasmine/Karma); build tooling and CI integration.Bridges front‑end and back‑end concerns (API contracts, error handling, security headers, telemetry).DevOps, CI/CD, observabilityGit‑based workflows; CI/CD with quality and security gates; environment promotion and artifact versioning.Observability across logs, metrics, and traces; SLOs and incident tooling; performance and capacity management.Security and complianceVulnerability scanning and remediation; secure coding; secrets management and least‑privilege principles.Experience collaborating with enterprise security and audit in regulated environments.Tooling & extensions (Jira Forge)Jira Forge literate: design and build Forge apps/modules (UI Kit/Custom UI), web triggers, app storage, and GraphQL/REST integrations.Extend workflows to enforce governance (AI guardrails, definition‑of‑done checks, policy attestations) and capture delivery/AI metrics.
About you10+ years in professional software engineering with depth in Java back end and Angular front end.3+ years leading multi‑squad AI Native SDLC engineering groups or a team of 10+ engineers; proven coaching and mentoring record.Owned AI Native SDLC production systems, vulnerability remediation, and incident leadership at scale.Prior delivery within a scaled agile construct (e.g., ART/PI cadence or equivalent).
Certifications (Must‑haves and Nice‑to‑haves)Claude Code AI Certified Partner and Developer — Mandatory; demonstrated coaching experience in AI‑assisted development.Leading SAFe or SAFe DevOps — Advantageous.Java professional certification — Advantageous.Cloud certification (Azure/AWS/GCP) — Advantageous.
