We’re looking for a Hotel Accountant who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of building Australia’s very first Treehouse Hotel from the ground up.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you’ll play a key role in establishing the hotel’s finance function during pre-opening before transitioning into day-to-day hotel operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety. One day you may be setting up supplier accounts and helping establish financial processes, the next you’re supporting month-end reporting, reconciling accounts or working alongside department leaders to ensure everything is running smoothly.

You’ll be involved in building the finance operation from day one and become an integral part of a small, collaborative leadership team where everyone pitches in to support each other.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing the hotel’s Accounts Payable function
• Supporting Accounts Receivable, invoicing and debtor management
• Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end reporting and financial close
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Supplier account management and procurement administration
• Assisting with payroll preparation and financial administration
• Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance
• Supporting the Director of Finance with reporting and commercial analysis
• Assisting with the implementation of finance systems and processes during pre-opening
• Building strong relationships across every department within the hotel

What We’re Looking For

You’re organised, proactive and enjoy being part of a team.

You understand that great finance isn’t just about numbers—it’s about supporting the operation and helping others succeed.

Ideally you’ll bring:

• Previous accounting or finance experience within hotels or hospitality
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Experience assisting with month-end reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong Excel and financial systems experience
• The ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment
• A collaborative, positive and solutions-focused attitude
• Previous pre-opening experience will be highly regarded but isn’t essential
