High Voltage Project Manager

About the Role

SKS Technologies is seeking an experienced HV Project Manager to join our growing team and take ownership of the successful delivery of high-voltage electrical construction projects from inception through to completion.

This is a hands-on project management role suited to someone who understands the complexities of HV electrical construction and can confidently lead project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholders.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard, while building strong relationships with clients and project partners.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Management

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of HV electrical construction projects.

• Lead and coordinate project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project milestones.

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts and resource plans.

• Monitor project costs and proactively identify and resolve issues affecting delivery.

• Manage project documentation, including contracts, variations, progress claims and reporting.

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure works are completed in accordance with designs, specifications and relevant standards.

• Ensure strict compliance with WHS, Blue Book, environmental and quality requirements.

• Develop and review project safety plans, SWMS and permits.

• Develop and implement HV operating sequences.

HV Operations & Compliance

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of HV operational roles, including Operating Authority, Permit to Work Officer, RIC and Permit Control Officer responsibilities.

• Apply a strong understanding of HV safety, operational and permit requirements across project delivery.

• Ensure HV works are planned and executed safely and in accordance with relevant procedures and standards.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.

• Represent SKS Technologies at client, site coordination and project meetings.

• Clearly communicate project scope, expectations, progress and key issues.

• Manage client variations, technical queries and change requests.

• Work collaboratively with Estimating, Procurement, Engineering and Finance to ensure seamless project delivery.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced HV professional who combines strong project management capability with a solid technical understanding of electrical construction.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience managing HV electrical construction or infrastructure projects.

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, cabling and construction methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in contract administration, cost management and project scheduling.

• Experience managing multiple subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of HV operational and permit requirements.

• Experience developing or reviewing HV operating sequences, safety plans, SWMS and permits.

• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, cost and program.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is desirable.

• Current Electrical Licence is preferred.

• Relevant safety and site management certifications such as White Card, First Aid and CPR/LVR are desirable.

• Experience with Bluebeam is highly regarded.

• Experience with VisiBuild QA is advantageous.

• Exposure to AV, data or communications projects is advantageous.
