Pimpama Pavilion located in the northern Gold Coast suburb of Pimpama is  a modern venue that boasts a 250+ seat restaurant with inside/outside dining, 200+ seat sports bar with TAB facilities, a luxury gaming room and separate function and entertainment areas. 

Pimpama Pavilion offers our customers an exceptional modern and innovative pub menu, a full suite of beverage choices and multiple entertainment and promotional activities.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our busy team on a full time basis.  To be successful in your application you will need to possess the following knowledge, skills and attributes:

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Preparing and cooking modern Australian style cuisine

• Accurately measuring and preparing meal ingredients

• Review quality of dishes during all stages of prep and dishing up

• Prepare dishes to meet special dietary requirements

• Correct storing of food in temperate controlled areas 

• Confident to work the grills, ovens, fryers and running a pass

• Receive and handle deliveries

• Ability to adhere to strict service time frames for functions and events

• Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations

• Undertake training as required to stay ahead with industry trends

• Assist in providing training to junior kitchen staff

• Assist in cleaning 

• Maximise profitable food revenue

• Assist with ordering for kitchen and regular stocktake processes

• Maintaining a clean, compliant and efficient kitchen

Who we are looking for:

• Recent experience in a medium to large fast paced kitchen

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Confident to assist with Kitchen staff management 

• Enthusiasm and true dedication to producing superior meals

• Great attention to detail, highly organised and able to multi-task

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking

• Available to work weekends, public holidays, day shifts and evening shifts

• Own reliable transport

You must have valid working rights in Australia.
