Field Service Technician - Industrial Machinery

Our client is a high profile Australian manufacturer of specialised packaging machinery. The company is well respected in the industry and acknowledge for the quality of their machinery and their ability to adapt and customise their solutions to meet the client's individual requirements

At this time we are looking for an experienced Technician to install, trouble shoot and service machinery throughout Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and New Zealand.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Installation of new equipment.
• Trouble shooting equipment in the field.
• Conducting regular preventative maintenance and scheduled services as required.
• Assisting the sales team with demonstrations
• Customer training.

Ideally the successful applicant will be experienced in a comparable role or has worked with similar equipment as a maintenance fitter/electrician in a manufacturing environment.

However it will be your ability to demonstrate the following skills and attributes that will be most highly regarded.

• Competency in troubleshooting and repairing technical machinery.
• Strong analytical skills.
• A working knowledge of PLC or microprocessor controlled equipment.
• An affinity with and understanding of, the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic aspects of process machines. 
• Strong computer skills. 
• An ability to work under pressure and display excellent customer service.
• A strong eye for detail and a determination to do it right the first time.
• Be a proactive self-starter who builds strong client relationships and has a strong empathy with their needs.
• You are self-motivated, well organised and able to work locally or remotely with a great deal of autonomy.
• Full electrical license or electrical disconnect / reconnect is an expectation.
