The Team

The Role

You will need 

• Current knowledge of and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal and ethical requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (ANMB) National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in mental health nursing including assertive case management, triage, holistic physical and mental health assessment, clinical risk management and crisis intervention within the community setting.
• Demonstrated written oral and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment, communicate effectively with other sectors of mental health services and primary health care providers.

Details of appointment

Permanent, part time, day worker position working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria 

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
• Current Driver’s Licence
