EXPERIENCED CHEF

Join Our Team at Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our busy Bar & Bistro Kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident all-rounder who can run services, support the Head Chef, and deliver exceptional food across our Bistro and Functions operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations
• Rund all kitchen sections including grill, pans, larder, fryer, pizza, wok and functions
• Prepare and present high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate strong knife skills and food preparation techniques
• Assist with menu development, stock control, ordering, and cost management
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
• Train and support junior kitchen staff
• Deliver consistent service for bistro dining, functions and events

About You

• Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery/Diploma preferable
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a busy restaurant, hotel, club or function venue
• Proven experience working across all kitchen sections
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Sound knowledge of food safety, stock control, and kitchen operations
• Reliable, professional, and passionate about quality food
