Field Worker / Farm Labourer

About the Operation

We're a 12-month vegetable growing operation — not a single-season farm — so unlike most harvest jobs, we have work on offer all year round. We're looking for fit, reliable field workers to join us, whether you want a short placement or a genuine long-term role. No experience needed — we'll train you. If you're happy to work hard outdoors, keep a good attitude on long days, and want to earn solid money at award rates, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

•      Hand-picking, planting and packing tomatoes, zucchinis, capsicums and melons

•      General crop care — trellising, weeding, mulching and irrigation checks

•      Working as part of a friendly, hard-working team

What We're Looking For

•      Fit and healthy, able to handle physical outdoor work — bending, lifting, repetitive picking

•      Willing and able to work long days when the season calls for it

•      Own reliable vehicle and licence — essential

•      Reliable, punctual, good attitude — entry level, minimal experience required

•      Full working rights in Australia

Pay & Conditions

•      Paid at or above Horticulture Award 2020 rates, including casual loading

•      Year-round work — we run a 12-month growing cycle, no off-season

•      Full-time hours available during peak periods; genuine ongoing work for reliable staff who want to stay long-term

•      Pay level is set under the Award based on your prior horticulture experience

Please state clearly in your application whether you are applying to complete your 88 days of specified regional work (or 6 months for a 462 visa or 417 visa), or whether you're after long-term/ongoing work. You will not be overlooked either way — it simply helps us place you in the right team, as we run separate teams for shorter 88-day placements and for longer-term workers.

Please also tell us whether you have any prior paid horticulture or farm work experience (crop, employer and approximate dates/duration). Under the Horticulture Award, anyone with more than 3 months' horticulture experience anywhere in Australia — with us or any other employer — must be paid at Level 2 from day one, so we need this information upfront to pay you correctly. If you're not sure, tell us what you've done and we'll work it out with you.
