About the role:

We are seeking an outstanding educator and leader to join our McGregor Campus as Upper Primary Sport & PE Coordinator. In this role, you will lead and coordinate a vibrant and inclusive sport program that promotes participation, skill development, wellbeing and pathways to excellence for students in Years 3-6. Working closely with the Director of Sport and broader school community, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality sporting opportunities while fostering a positive culture of teamwork, sportsmanship and engagement. This position includes a substantive teaching load across Years 3 to 6 and the ability to teach across a range of primary curriculum areas will be highly regarded

This permanent, full time teaching position with additional Position of Responsibility commences Term 1 2027. The key responsibilities are to:

• Lead and coordinate the Year 3-6 sport and physical education program.
• Oversee interschool sport, SAPSASA participation and co-curricular sporting opportunities.
• Support, mentor and coordinate coaches to ensure a high-quality student experience.
• Coordinate sporting fixtures, training schedules, facilities and equipment requirements.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, staff and external providers.
• Promote student participation, achievement and wellbeing through sport and physical activity.
• Teach students in Years 3-6, contributing positively to learning, engagement and academic growth.

About you:

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Experience teaching in a primary school setting, particularly across Years 3-6.
• Experience coordinating sporting programs, teams or co-curricular activities.
• A passion for sport, physical education and the holistic development of young people.
• The ability to teach across a range of primary curriculum learning areas.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, families and colleagues.
• Proven leadership capability, initiative and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and professional growth.
