Eloma Care
About the role
Love a challenge? Thrive on solving complex accounting matters? Want to work from home full-time on a temporary 4-week contract with the opportunity to extend?
We're looking for a highly experienced, proactive Accountant to join the team at Eloma Care, a leading NDIS provider passionate about helping people live the life they love.
This role offers $80 per hour (inclusive of casual loading).
We're seeking someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, taking ownership, identifying solutions, and making a real impact within a fast-paced disability services organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who can step in, work autonomously, and confidently manage a broad range of financial responsibilities.
You're someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do—you identify issues, take initiative, and deliver accurate, timely financial outcomes.
You'll ideally have:
Extensive experience in a senior accounting or financial accounting role.
CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) highly regarded.
Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Microsoft NAV.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex reconciliations, reporting and analysis.
Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliations, month-end processes and financial reporting.
Experience within the NDIS, healthcare or community services sector is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Confidence working independently in a fully remote environment.
A positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to achieving results.
As our Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the finance function across a range of key accounting activities, including:
Managing end-to-end accounting processes and maintaining the integrity of financial records.
Preparing and reviewing general ledger reconciliations.
Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.
Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
Investigating and resolving financial discrepancies and variances.
Supporting financial reporting and management reporting requirements.
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting where required.
Reviewing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant legislative requirements.
Supporting NDIS funding reconciliations and financial reporting where applicable.
Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, internal controls and efficiencies.
Providing support and guidance to internal stakeholders on finance-related matters.
Completing ad hoc accounting projects and financial analysis as required.
If you're motivated by delivering high-quality financial outcomes, enjoy taking ownership, and love the flexibility of working from home, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and bring your expertise to a team that makes a genuine difference every day.
