Team members join a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment with opportunities to contribute to a well-established and expanding brand.Role Description The Area Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW, responsible for overseeing the performance and operations of a group of retail stores. This position includes leading and coaching store managers, ensuring consistent customer service standards, and driving sales and profitability across the area. Day-to-day tasks involve monitoring store performance metrics, managing labor and expense controls, overseeing merchandising and visual presentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Area Manager partners with head office teams on promotions, inventory management, and execution of brand initiatives, while identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing action plans. The role also includes recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of store teams, fostering an inclusive, engaging, and results-oriented culture.Qualifications Proven experience in multi-site retail management, ideally within fashion or apparel, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales and profitability targets.Strong leadership and people management skills, including coaching, performance management, team development, and the ability to build inclusive, high-performing teams.Solid operational and commercial skills, including budget management, expense control, inventory management, and understanding of key retail KPIs.Excellent customer service focus, with the ability to translate brand standards into consistent in-store experiences and maintain high service levels.Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across store and head office teams.Strong organizational and time management abilities, including planning store visits, prioritizing competing demands, and executing initiatives across multiple locations.Ability to work on-site across stores in the Sydney, NSW area, with flexibility for peak trading periods, weekends, and public holidays as required.Comfort with basic digital tools and retail systems (e.g., POS, reporting, and scheduling software); experience with omnichannel or online retail environments is an advantage.Understanding of visual merchandising principles and an eye for detail to maintain brand standards in-store.Relevant experience in retail management; formal qualifications in business, retail management
